Dress Code: Dancers are required to wear proper dance clothing and shoes for every class even at home on the zoom. Please see your class description on the website proper attire. Most of the time it is leotard/tights or Studio t-shirt and black jazz/yoga pants. Pink ballet shoes, Tan Jazz, Black tap.
Hair should be in ponytail or bun with hair out of face and no large jewelry.
Space- Please make sure that you have ample space in your home for dancing and movement. All movement is done in an axial way so a 6 x 6 feet box is a good amount of space to move in. Make sure the flooring is flat, no rugs to slip on, no objects around that can be kicked, and nothing that will fall if the dancer jumps. Clear away all distractions to the dancers like toys, family members not assisting, and pets.
Water- is fine to drink at water breaks given by the instructor but nothing else should be in the dancers mouth while moving. Nothing that would create a choking hazard such as food and gum.
Monitoring-Parents should also stay at a close enough distance to monitor their child while dancing in case of injury, health emergency, or choking.
Zoom Information- The link is listed under your assigned class.
Zoom Etiquette- Plan to put in your numbers 5 minutes before your class time to arrive early and to stay the entire length of the class. Upon entering your code #’s you will be in a waiting room. Once the instructor admits you, make sure the VIDEO is ON, and AUDIO is MUTED. You should be able to see and hear the instructor. Make sure your name is spelled correctly on the label. If you feel you are having problems connecting please call the studio number at 650-516-6056 for assistance. If the dancer or parent needs to speak to the instructor shortly please raise your hand and the instructor will unmute. Questions are a limited in class to short interactions with the teacher to keep the students moving.
